"Catching the Sun" Screening 5/12

"Through the stories of workers and entrepreneurs in the U.S. and China, Catching the Sun is a feature length documentary that explores the global race to a clean energy future. Catching the Sun follows the hope and heartbreak of unemployed American workers seeking jobs in the solar industry and sheds light on the path to an economically and environmentally sustainable future."

The screening is free, but please RSVP in advance here--seating is limited.

Following the screening, there will be a panel discussion with representatives from Sun Work, Re-Volv, and De Anza College's Energy Management program. Sun Work is an organization that uses volunteer labor to provide at-cost solar installations to homes and businesses with low energy bills, making solar PV cost-competitive where it otherwise would not be.  You can find out more about Sun Work and how you can get involved as a volunteer on their website.
