BAAQMD Tackles Refinery Emissions Rule 7/31

baaqmdlogosq128px.jpg  Support a cap on refinery emissions

Activists will comment on the Air District's draft Petroleum Refining Emissions Tracking Rule on July 31st.  Our lobbying of the Board coupled with our presence at this important meeting will help ensure that this rule actually furthers the new climate goals:  it needs to be sufficiently protective (no increase in pollution) and proactive (applies to projects currently under proposal).  A cap on emissions is essential for meeting our greenhouse gas reduction goals and protecting the health and safety of Bay Area residents, in particular those folks living on the refinery fence lines.  Let's pack the Board Room on the 31st!
