Tell Gov Brown to Say No to Coal 6/2

At 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, Jerry Brown will give a welcoming speech to the Clean Energy Ministerial, a “Public-Private Action Summit” of energy ministers and business executives from major energy-consuming countries.  Popular organizations do not appear to have been invited to the conversation.  The conference is being held at the Westin St. Francis on Union Square.  According to the agenda, credentialing and coffee are scheduled for 7:30 a.m.

Brown presents himself as a climate leader, but in addition to allowing fracking in California, he has not spoken up to oppose Phil Tagami's proposed coal export terminal in Oakland. Join No Coal in Oakland and friends to prod Brown to speak out against the terminal and to remind the attendees of Brown's real record! Coffee will be provided.

There will probably also be a theatrical component - hazmat suits, chunks of coal, etc.
The Westin St. Francis Union Square, SF is close to the Powell BART station. Meet in front.
